PSA H2 Purification Process

PSA H2 Purification Process

Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) in oil refineries & petrochemicals is mainly used to recover and purify hydrogen from a variety of hydrogen-rich streams. The technology relies on differences in the adsorption properties of gases to separate them under pressure, and is an effective way of producing very pure hydrogen. The use of the Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) process grows fast during the last decades due to the simplicity and low operating costs.

The Zeolite 5A and activated carbon are key adsorbents to remove feed gas impurities such as CO, N2 and CH4. To meet the user requirements, Chempack offers a serial of the specialty adsorbents for PSA process, from silica gel, activated aluminas, activated carbon to zeolite adsorbents. These products are commercially applied with performance proved.
