Oxygen Removal, O2 Removal

A typical use is the removal of oxygen from nitrogen, inert gas. Nitrogen contains trace amounts of oxygen normally which may pass over the catalyst bed at room temperature. The oxygen molecules from the nitrogen may react with hydrogen feed into the process stream and create water.

Chempack offers metal and mixed-metal catalysts for the removal of oxygen from gas streams. These outstanding and robust catalysts are often used for the purification of nitrogen, argon, and carbon dioxide.

Our oxygen removal catalysts can be made with either platinum or palladium based precious metals and are typically impregnated on alumina oxide (Al2O3) spheres, pellets, or extrudates. The catalyst can operate at atmospheric pressures up to higher.
