Desulfurization Process

After the hydroconversion of the organic sulfur compounds, the fed gas will be feed to the sulfur polishing reactor, mainly the Zinc Oxide Catalyst will be used to remove the trace sulfur like H2S. In general, more sulfur is absorbed by zinc oxide at higher operating temperatures, and when the porosity of the zinc oxide is increased.

Chempack offers several types of the Zinc Oxide Catalyst with very high sulfur pick up capacity for low level sulfur polishing (ultrapurification). In addition, through our range of catalysts and absorbents, we can provide mercury removal, chloride removal, low temperature hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) removal absorbents and ultrapurification down to ppb levels of sulfur to protect even the most sensitive of downstream catalysts, including pre-reforming catalysts.
